Misong is a Japanese and also Korean restaurant that has different Korean dishes as well as Japanese dishes. I came here during lunch because I saw it on Yelp and they had it every single day, including the weekends!! So I wanted to check out this place and see what it was all about.

The lunch specials are ridiculously cheap I mean as low as $5.95 for Korean spicy ramen plus 5 pieces of California rolls!! I don't think they have these prices anywhere else.

The food here was pretty standard and decent and the service was quite good. I liked the family feel of this place and also they gave us some appetizers to try out as well. I came with a group of four of us on a Saturday and even though it was busy the service was still good.

I ordered the Korean tofu with upgraded spicy tuna roll and thought that was so huge of a portion size. The meal only costed $7.95 plus $1.00 for my upgraded tuna roll. I really was amazed with the price and would yes totally recommend it if you are on a tight budget and need to make two meals out of one. I seriously had leftovers for dinner.

Tip- lunch starts from 11:30 am till 3:30 pm

Prices are reasonable, service is fast and efficient!

Came here with some friends for lunch one day and the restaurant was pretty busy. We got the boat combo for 4 people and shared everything. It was definitely alot of food. The portions are pretty big, and we got complimentary korean small side dishes to compliment our meal which was very nice. The sushi and sashimi was ok quality, large pieces of fish but not a super high quality cut. There was definitely alot of variety of stuff in the combo, but everything was just pretty mediocre in taste.

Service was very nice, fast and efficient. Bathrooms and tables are clean.

Found Misong on Yelp and decided to check it out. It's tucked away in the corner inside the plaza next to the HK supermarket.

I went with my friend on a weekday, and it was pretty empty. The staff there was so attentive and sweet though!

They have a lunch menu that starts around $5.95 for an entree. Granted the portions are a little on the smaller side, but the prices reflect that. I ordered the chicken katsu that came with a California roll ($6.95), which you can upgrade to a spicy tuna or crunch roll for $1.
My friend ordered one of the combos with chicken teriyaki and a full-sized spicy tuna roll. Both of ours came with soup, salad, and rice.

We also tried the gyoza (free with Yelp check-in), albacore sashimi, and salmon. Those were pretty good!

The lunch special and sushi are decent, nothing extraordinary but perfect for a quick lunch. The prices are very affordable, and the service is great!

Bottomless Korean side dishes with salmon delight... A sushi dish with sashimi, California rolls packed with salmon on top and sushi pieces with salmon! Yum... Sushi is fresh and pitchers of beer are only $12.95. they aren't that busy they're hidden inside the hk plaza. Service is decent. Sushi melts in your mouth. 3.5 stars for being a hidden gem!

I ordered an avocado roll with peppered salmon on top to go and after getting home, noticed that my roll had spicy crab meat in it. I can't eat spicy food so I called the restaurant back, explained my issue, and the owner said they could remake my order.

I drive back to the restaurant and the chef asks the owner about my order to which I responded that it was just an avocado roll with salmon on top. There was a long pause and the chef goes to the back and returns after ten minutes. I finally get my new order, thank the owner, and leave.

I get home and my roll is completely wrong again. I'm not sure if they just thought I would not notice that cucumber is NOT avocado. I made sure to explicitly state multiple times that I wanted just an avocado in the middle. The first time the order was messed up, I understood because it could have been a simple mistake. But, after stating multiple times on the top and inside the actual restaurant the second time, I think the restaurant is just stingy on avocado. I would have been fine with them charging me extra for it if that was an issue instead of making me waste my time driving back and forth.

"All avocado" in the center number 2.

My son wanted sushi and needed a place that is kid friendly. We stumbled upon Misong Sushi Bar in Rowland Heights, CA and so glad we did. The sushi bar is located inside a big plaza, not a big restaurant but it's a good enough. I believe it's a Korean Sushi Bar but it doesn't really matter. The foods were delicious and service was excellent. The waitress was very attentive from the moment we walked in. She gave us time to review the menu, offered drinks, and then came back with recommendations.

Our lunch portions were like dinner portions us. The meals came with side dishes and miso soups. They have a great daily lunch menu with starting price at $5.95. We were recommended Baked Lobster Roll and boy, it was delicious. It took about 15mins to make but worth the wait. It was fresh and still hot when service. My son ordered Crunch Rolls and Dragon Rolls, he still talks about how tasty they were. The sashimi on the Chirashi Bowl were all so fresh. Lastly, you get free ice cream after your meal.

So glad we found Misong. We definitely return to try the Sashami Platter soon.

Wanted to try this place out for some good ole korean style sashimi, and was nothing but average.

I came here with my parents so the 3 of us ordered the mixed sashimi combination plate for around $100 (might be $120) and was a bit disappointed because they don't serve the single halibut sashimi plate unless you pre-order it in advance. Not sure why a korean sashimi restaurant would not have the (gwang uh) sashimi at hand but I guess it is what it is.

The sashimi here is pretty decent quality, but nothing special. It's your typical salmon belly, some tuna, whitefish, halibut, yellowtail, and maybe a frw more that I may have missed but the quantity is really small for how much it is. Along with this order comes with a lot of mini side dishes including only 2 uni rice (not 3) which doesn't make sense since the medium is suppose to feed 3 people. Overall my mom hardly ate and just me and my dad ended up eating most of it and we still weren't full. They give really small portions and are pretty stingy about it. I only rate it 3 stars because the sashimi was in fact pretty great quality.

Other issue was that there was a seaweed in our pitcher of beer, but the waitress solved the problem for us by giving us a new one and not charging us for the pitcher on our tab. Lastly the place is HOT even with the AC on. This summer the weather is beyond 100 degrees and a sushi restaurant shouldn't feel like its still 80degrees plus with the customers sweating.

Would prefer other places in LA, or just eat omakase at a japanese sushi restaurant.

Medium sashimi combo plate. Was very small in quanitity.

We came on a Wednesday noon for lunch, not busy. This was our first time as we were in the area and not only expecting anything great. However, we were super satisfied with the meal here. The fishes were fresh and the service was great! We also received free grilled salmon head from the chef. Looking foreword to our next meal here, hopefully soon.

I really like this place. It's in a plaza which means it has enough parking. It's quiet, clean and organized. Chef and waitress are very polite and patient ( ps: tonight's chef is kinda cute lol )
I don't know why this place doesn't have lot customers on Sunday night. But as a very pick Asian girl, I want to say the sashimi here is fair and good quality.
I also ordered one beef tadaki and ginger clam soup. They have the taste which is just right! Not too much, not too less, just at the right place which I think you can taste chef's serious about his food.
Also, thank you for giving me a nigiri and strawberry ice cream at the end. They are delicious too.
